1875 Army Outlaw Revolver by Taylor’s & Co.

The 1875 Army Outlaw Revolver by Taylor’s & Co. was inspired by the historic Remington 1875 Single Action or Improved Army Revolver. This Colt alternative and other contemporaries has been faithfully reproduced by Uberti for Taylor’s & Co.

1875 Army Outlaw Revolver

The Taylor’s & Co. website gives this description of their version of the 1875 Army Outlaw Revolver:

The 1875 Army Outlaw Revolver is a faithful reproduction of the 1875 Remington® single-actions, which kept the solid frame and overall styling of Remington’s 1858 percussion models. Ordinary citizens and Old West lawmen alike recognized the sturdy quality of the new Remington revolvers. The infamous Frank James even carried one for most of his outlaw career. The reproduction is available in his favorite caliber .45LC and features a two-piece walnut grip. This model is manufactured using a casted frame and spring retained cylinder pin. The Nickel finish option offers quality plating over all parts with charcoal blue screws.

  1. do you have any dealers in the reno sparks area I am in Fernley nv 30 miles east of reno and 30 west of fallon iam interested in 1875 rem stainless or nikle 7.5 in 45 lc and 45acp

    • We’re not a manufacturer or a gun seller so don’t have dealers.

  2. I happen to own one of the Navy Arms marketed Uberti 1875 Outlaw in nickel. I have used as a backup hunting weapon but have not had a lot of success in its accuracy. The single action seems to have a very light trigger pull and can result in premature firing at your target. Overall I find the gun a bit heavy especially when loaded. As with all single action guns you need to be safe in your loading only 5 shots in the cylinder leaving the hammer on the empty slot unless you are actively shooting in a controlled active shooting environment. A current version of this gun is available at Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops.
